BOONEVILLE --- Any chance of making the MACJC State Tournament next week ended here Monday night as the Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell to the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers in a heartbreaker, 68-67.
With the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 11-10 overall and 3-7 in the North Division. Holmes hosts Northwest on Thursday night to finish out the regular season. The game is set for 8 p.m. and can be watched live at holmesathletics.ihigh.com.
Travis Johnson led the Bulldogs with 20 points while Rodriques Palmer had 11. Leading rebounder was Johnson with five.
