Bulldogs defeat Rangers 70-69

GOODMAN --- Holmes Community College freshman Vercell Webster gave the Bulldogs the lead with 10 seconds remaining and the Bulldogs held on for 70-69 win over the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers here Thursday night.

With the win, the Bulldogs ended the season 12-10 overall and 4-7 in the North Division.

Holmes jumped out on Northwest early in the game and led by 13 at halftime 37-24. Holmes increased the lead to as much as 15 points in the second half but Northwest outscored Holmes in the second half 45-33 to make the game tight at the end.

Tamarico Wilson led the Bulldgos with 20 points while Justin McCleary had 16 and Rodriques Palmer and Dayshawn Watkins each had 10. Palmer and McCleary each led the Bulldogs in rebounds with five.
