Wilson and Banks sign with four-year schools
Holmes Community College Bulldog sophomore basketball players Tamarico Wilson and Patrick Banks recently signed on with four-year schools. Wilson is headed to Alcorn State University in Lorman while Banks is going to Wiley College in Marshall, Texas.
Wilson of Tchula averaged 12.4 points per for the Bulldogs this season. He played 31.8 minutes per game and was 100-of-218 from the floor or 45.9 percent. He shot 71.4 percent from the free throw line, averaged four rebounds, 1.5 assists and one steal per game. He was named Second Team All-State and represented Holmes in the MACJC All-Star Game scoring five points.
Banks of Jackson averaged 7.8 points per game for the Bulldogs this season. He played 22.9 minutes per game and was 53-of-122 or 43.4 percent. He shot 62.3 percent from the free throw line and averaged 7.5 rebounds per game.
