GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs went to 3-0 on the season with an impressive 117-74 win over the junior varsity squad from William Carey University here Monday night.
The Bulldogs travel to Meridian on Thursday night for a 7:30 p.m. game. The game can be heard on 101.1 FM or at breezynews.com.
Holmes had five players in double figures with Daryl Macon leading the way with 27 points. Macon had four three-pointers in the game and was perfect from the free throw line. Marcus Washington followed with 21 points while Jamahl Jackson had 20 points and Jarvis Williams and R.J. Scott each had 10. Washington led with eight rebounds.
Holmes led 57-37 at halftime and then outscored William Carey 60-37 in the second half.
