Macon named MACJC Player of the Week
Holmes Community College freshman guard Daryl Macon has been named the MACJC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his play during the first week of the season.
The Little Rock, Ark., native averaged 27 points in two games versus Co-Lin and Baton Rouge leading his team to victory the first two games of the season. He hit eight three's against Co-Lin and had 32 points. He shot and made one three against Baton Rouge and finished with 22 points. After two games, he is 16-26 shooting and 9-12 from the three-point line and 13-17 from the free throw line. He has 10 assists, four steals and seven rebounds after two games.
Macon is now being considered for the weekly NJCAA honor.
