GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs finished the first half of the North Division schedule with a 4-2 record after defeating the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers, 83-65, here Monday night.
With the win, the Bulldogs move to 13-4 overall. Holmes hosts Northwest Thursday at 8 p.m. The game can be watched live at www.holmesccmedia.com.
The Bulldogs led 39-26 at halftime and then outscored the Tigers, 44-39, in the second half. Holmes led by as much as 22 points and never trailed in the game.
Cedric Harper and D'Angelo Richardson each finished with 18 points while Daryl Macon had 16 and R.J. Scott had 15. Dietrich Taylor had seven rebounds while Harper and Macon finished with six.
The Bulldogs shot 49.2 percent from the floor, 31.3 percent from the three-point line and 69 percent from the free throw line.
