Bulldogs go to 4-2 in the North Division with win over the Lions

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs used a double-double by Trevais Spencer to improve to 4-2 in the North Division and 10-7 overall with a 72-68 win over the East Mississippi Community College Lions here Monday night.

Holmes travels to Itawamba on Thursday at 8 p.m. You can watch live at http://www.letsgoicctv.com/RED. The Bulldogs return home vs. Delta at 8 p.m. Monday and home at 8 p.m. on Thursday vs. Northwest.

Holmes led by three points at halftime, 34-31, and outscored East Mississippi 34-31 in the second half to pull out the win.

The Bulldogs shot 46.9 percent from the floor, 33.3 percent from three-point line and 75 percent from the free-throw line. Spencer finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds while Justin Johnson had 17 and Mikkel Norment had 14. Johnson finished with six rebounds.
