BOONEVILLE --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell to the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers here Monday night, 94-76, in North Division action.
With the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 13-8 overall and 7-3 in the North Division. Holmes hosts Coahoma in the final home game of the year next week on Monday at 8 p.m. and then travels to East Mississippi on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Both Holmes and Northeast stand atop of the North Division with a 7-3 record. Northeast plays Itawamba Thursday and Mississippi Delta on Monday.
Northeast led 42-35 at halftime and outscored the Bulldogs 52-41 in the second half. Holmes shot 45 percent from the floor, 40 percent from the three-point line and 73 percent from the free-throw line.
Trevais Spencer led the Bulldogs in scoring with 17 points while Keith Gilmore had 16, Mikkel Norment 13 and Jonah Simpson 11.
