GOODMAN --- Sophomore guard Kaleb Higgins poured in 40 points to help the Holmes Community College Bulldogs improve to 2-2 on the season with an 82-59 win over Northwest Mississippi Community College here tonight in Goodman.
The Bulldogs will travel to East Mississippi on Monday night at 6 p.m.
The Bulldogs led 44-29 at halftime and then outscored the Rangers in the second half 38-30 in the second half.
Higgins was 13-of-21 shooting the ball including four three-pointers. He was 10-of-10 from the free throw line. Darrius Clark finished with 13 points in the game. Olanrewaju Olayinka led the Bulldogs with 12 rebounds.
The Bulldogs shot 46.9 percent from the floor, 42.9 percent from the three-point line and 81.3 percent from the free throw line in the contest.
