Dismuke joins men's basketball as volunteer assistant coach

Chicago, IL native Charles Dismuke II has joined Holmes Community College Head Men's Basketball coach Jason Flanigan's staff as a volunteer assistant coach.

In 2018, Dismuke attended the University of Southern Mississippi while joining the Men's basketball program as a student assistant. While at Southern Miss, he helped the Golden Eagles finish in a two-way tie for second place in Conference-USA play with a record of 11-7.

In 2019, Dismuke transferred to Jackson State University as a student assistant for the Men's basketball program until he was added to the team roster as a player between 2020 and 2022. In his second season, he and his team went 11-0 in conference play while also winning the SWAC Regular Season Championship. In all, while in Jackson for three seasons, Dismuke helped the Tigers to a SWAC conference play record of 31-16, along with non-conference wins over the University of Portland, University of Louisiana-Lafayette and Illinois State University. 

In the Summer of 2022, he transferred to the University of Mississippi also known as Ole Miss to join the Men's basketball program as a preferred walk-on and student assistant. During his time in Oxford, the Rebels had a tough season but were able to clinch a late season berth to make it to the second round of the SEC Men's Basketball Conference Tournament. 

He is a University of Mississippi graduate and holds a bachelor's of business administration with an emphasis in sales marketing
