FULTON --- The Holmes Community College men's soccer team played its third overtime game in four games on Tuesday versus Itawamba Community College. The game ended in a tie after two overtimes.

Brad Simpson got the Bulldogs on the board first in the 15th minute to give Holmes the 1-0 lead. Jimmy Doonan then scored in the 78th minute to give Holmes the 2-1 lead. Itawamba scored minutes later to force the game in extra time.

Holmes hosts East Central on Tuesday at Freedom Ridge Park at 4 p.m.
