Bulldogs improve to 3-0 with win over Meridian

RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 3-0 on the season here Friday with a 4-1 win over the Meridian Community College Eagles.

The Bulldogs will play East Central on Friday in Ridgeland at 3 p.m.

Nolan Owens scored on an assists from Matthew Hackler and Odanci Ndayisaba. Bienevenue Sunzu scored on an Owens assist to put Holmes up 2-0. Meridian scored to make it 2-1 before the Bulldogs scored again before the half ended on a goal from Ndayisaba to make it 3-1 at halftime.

Tripp Sheppard scored in the second half to end all scoring at 4-1.

William Carey

The Bulldogs knocked off William Carey on Aug. 31 in Hattiesburg.

Holmes led 2-1 at halftime after goals from Sunzu and Ndayisaba on assists from Ndayisaba and Sheppard.

Ndayisaba scored two goals in the second half, Sunzu scored one, Caleb Jones scored one and Patrick Vallean scored one. Sunzu, Sheppard, Owens and Smith each had an assist.
