RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell 2-1 in the MACCC opener versus East Central Community College here Friday.

Holmes will play Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Tuesday at 3 p.m.

East Central scored in the 42 minute on a penalty kick to go up 1-0 in the 42nd minute. The Warriors then blasted one in from past midfield to lead 2-0 at halftime.

Odanci Ndayisaba then scored on an assist from Jalen Ballard in the 51st to pull the Bulldogs to within one.
