Lady Bulldogs pull to 4-4 in the North Division

MOORHEAD --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs picked up two big North Division wins here Wednesday over Mississippi Delta, 9-2 and 10-3, to pull their division record even at 4-4.

The Lady Bulldogs improved their overall record to 7-19.

In game one, Kelsey Marter picked up the win. She pitched four innings giving up three hits, two runs and struck out one. Victoria Hunt led the Lady Bulldogs with three hits including a double while Keana Wash had two hits. Charneissa Gordon, Karina Brown, Samantha Meadows, Katherine Pennington and Alecia McDaniel each had a hit with Meadows adding a double.

In game two, Marter picked up the win in five innings of work. She gave up seven hits, three runs and struck out two. Gordon led the Lady Bulldogs with two hits while Brown, Michelle Gregory, Meadows, McDaniel and Pennington had a hit with Pennington's hit being a triple.

The Lady Bulldogs host Coahoma on Saturday in a doubleheader at noon. Game one can be watched live at holmesathletics.ihigh.com.
