Holmes splits with East Central

DECATUR --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs split two games here Saturday with the East Central Community College Lady Warriors winning 7-4 in game one and falling 7-4 in game two.

Holmes travels to Coahoma on Tuesday at 1/3 p.m.

In game one, Elleigh Willis got the start and went seven innings picking up the win. She gave up four runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts and four walks. Iris Farve, Leah Kinard and AnnaLeigh Jones each had two hits in the game. LaCristia Edwards had a double.

In game two, Emmagail Kelley got the start and suffered the loss. She gave up four runs on four hits with one strikeout and one walk. Neera Bell and Kasandra Gaona also pitched in the game. Willis led with three hits including a two-run homerun while Jones added a solo homerun. McKayla Crowley had a triple and Lanie Phillips added a double.
