Holmes falls to Northwest; lose heartbreaker in game two
SENATOBIA --- The Holmes Community College fell here twice Wednesday to the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers, 7-0 one and 12-11 in game two.
Holmes travels to Pearl River on Friday at 1/3 p.m.
In game one, Josie Azlin got the start and suffered the loss. Holmes had four hits in game one.
In game two, Presley Scarbrough got the start and suffered the loss as she came back in the game in relief late in the contest. Holmes had an 11-7 lead going into the bottom of the seventh, and Northwest scored five to take the game. Hayley Pascal and Avery Smith also pitched in the game.
Lauren Frazier led with four hits including a double and a 3-run homerun. Lennie Kate Wood, Miley Billie and Tashika Carothers each had two hits with Billie and Carothers adding a double.
