Billie inks with MUW Monday afternoon

Holmes Community College sophomore Miley Billie signed with the Mississippi University for Women Monday in a signing ceremony in the Holmes Community College softball field house.

Billie, a Carthage native and Choctaw Central graduate, played two seasons for the Lady Bulldogs before signing with the W, who is a member of the St. Louis Interscholastic Athletic Conference and plays in NCAA Division III.

As a sophomore, Billie saw action at shortstop, center field and catcher for the Lady Bulldogs. She finished the season with a .287 batting average including 18 doubles, five triples and three homeruns with 33 RBI.

As a freshman Billie saw action at shortstop and catcher for the Lady Bulldogs. She finished the year with a .169 average with three doubles and one triple with four RBI.
