Lady Bulldogs head into Christmas Break with a record of 2-8

Heading into the Christmas Break the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldog team has a record of 2-8 and a 0-2 record in the North Division.

Holmes defeated Baton Rouge, 80-77, in Goodman and Hinds, 68-64, in Utica. The Lady Bulldogs fell to East Central twice, 76-63 in Decatur and 81-79 in Goodman; Copiah-Lincoln, 78-62, in Wesson; Meridian, 87-68, in Goodman; Pearl River, 64-39, in Goodman; Southwest, 54-38, in Goodman; East Mississippi, 60-49, in Scooba; and Mississippi Delta, 86-52, in Goodman.

Carmesha Nalls is the Lady Bulldogs' leading scorer with 14.5 points per game. Nalls is shooting 37.5 percent from three-point range.

Laricka Morgan is the leading rebounder with 6.3 rebounds per game while Tayanna Purnell has 6.2 rebounds per game while Taylor Johnson has 4.9 rebounds per game and LaShonda Wilson has 4.7 rebounds per game. Nalls has two steals per game.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action on Jan. 7 versus Hinds Community College in Goodman.
