Lady Bulldogs improve to 1-2 in the North Division
GOODMAN --- The Coahoma Community College Lady Tigers jumped out early on the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs here Monday night, but the Lady Bulldogs stormed back from a double digit deficit to pull out the 81-59 win.
With the win, the Lady Bulldogs went to 4-9 overall and 1-2 in the North Division. The Lady Bulldogs will be on the road Thursday night at Itawamba Community College. The game can be heard live at 6 p.m. on breezynews.com, 101.1 FM or on the TuneIn radio app on your smart phone.
After falling behind in the first half, Holmes battled back to take a 39-31 lead at halftime. The Lady Bulldogs then poured it on in the second half outscoring the Lady Tigers 42-28.
Carmesha Nalls led the Lady Bulldogs with 21 points with only one three-pointer while Brandi Carter added 13 points and Taylor Johnson had 12. LaShonda Wilson and Johnson each had eight rebounds in the game.
