Lady Bulldogs face the Lady Wolves in Friday's Region XXIII semi-finals
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs will face the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Lady Wolves in Friday's semi-finals of the NJCAA Region XXIII Tournament at noon at Mississippi College.
Holmes comes into the game at 18-7 overall and will face the Lady Wolves who are 22-4. Holmes defeated MACJC Champion East Central on Wednesday, 77-75, while the Lady Wolves defeated Northwest Mississippi Community College, 86-75. Holmes is led by sophomore guard Aja Williams, who is averaging 18.9 points per game. Sophomore Tiffany Jones is averaging 14.5 points per game while sophomore Minyone Hill is averaging 9.1 points per game, sophomore Cortrice Golden is averaging 8.4 points per game and sophomore Kawaii Perry is averaging 8.3 points per game. As a team, the Lady Bulldogs are averaging 73.6 points per game and are shooting 43.9 percent from the floor, 26.9 percent from three-point range and 60.3 percent from the free-throw line.
Holmes is giving up 62.6 points per game.
Co-Lin is led by Kelley Allen, who is averaging 14.2 points per game. Alexis Collins is averaging 13.2 points per game, Tytiana Hall is averaging 11.2 and Jamilah Sanders is averaging 10.8. As a team, the Lady Wolves are averaging 74.2 points per game and are shooting 43.1 percent from the floor, 31.2 percent from the three-point line and 70.8 percent from the free-throw line.
Co-Lin is giving up 60.8 points per game.
