GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs went to 1-3 in the North Division here Thursday night with a 67-61 loss to the Lady Tigers of Northeast Mississippi Community College.
With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs fell to 5-8 overall. Holmes plays at Arkansas St. Mid-South on Monday and at Coahoma Community College on Thursday before returning home on Jan. 30 to host the Lions of East Mississippi Community College.
Northeast led 22-19 after one period of play and outscored Holmes, 14-9, in the second period to lead 36-28 at halftime. The Lady Bulldogs outscored the Lady Tigers, 14-12, in the third period before each team scored 19 in the final period.
Vaquela Pimpton led with 12 points while Nhamia Wilson had 11 and Kamelia Lacy had 10. Nina Carpenter and Brittany Webster each had eight rebounds.
