Lady Bulldogs get 55-44 win over East Mississippi

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 4-2 overall here tonight with a 55-44 win over the East Mississippi Community College Lady Lions.

Holmes improved to 4-1 in the North Division. Holmes travels to Itawamba Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. You can watch the game at letsgoicctv.com.

The Lady Bulldogs led 15-14 after one period of play before outscoring the Lady Lions, 15-11, in the second period. Holmes outscored East Miss., 14-7, in the third period before East Miss. took the fourth period, 12-11, but it wasn't enough as the Lady Bulldogs hung on for the 11-point win. Holmes led by 17 with 7:02 left in the game.

Morgan Williams led the Lady Bulldogs with 12 points while Katie Powers had 10. Gabrielle Bunch finished with 10 rebounds while Tniniyah Jones had nine.

The Lady Bulldogs shot 37 percent from the floor (2o-of-54) and 72.2 percent from the free throw line (13-of-18).
