MOORHEAD --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs fell behind early but battled back but it wasn't enough as the Mississippi Delta Community College Lady Trojans won 57-53 here tonight.
With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs fell to 6-7 in the North Division and 6-8 overall. Holmes plays its final regular season game on Monday in Goodman vs. East Mississippi.
Mississippi Delta led 19-9 after one period and 28-12 at halftime. The Lady Bulldogs took the third period, 19-10 and the fourth period, 22-19, but it wasn't enough in the contest.
Gabrielle Bunch led the Lady Bulldogs with 16 points while Syphanie Berry had 10.
