Lady Bulldogs open the season tonight at East Mississippi

The 2021-22 Holmes Community College women's basketball team returns three players from last year's team that made it to the Region 23 Tournament last season. The Lady Bulldogs begin their season on Monday, Nov. 1 at 5:30 p.m. in Scooba vs. East Mississippi.

Coach Bridget Goodnight is the new head coach of the Lady Bulldogs while Brooke Walker joins the teams as the assistant coach.

The Lady Bulldogs last season finished 6-10 overall and 6-8 in the North Division. The Lady Bulldogs fell to Southwest in the opening round of the region tournament.

Returning players include: Amarie Anderson, 5'5, guard, Baldwyn; Sha'Toria Vigne, 5'10, guard/forward, Summit; and Jamiah Davis, 6', forward, Byram. Vigne averaged 4.1 points per game and 2.3 rebounds.

Newcomers include: Makala Boyd, 5'7, guard, Pontotoc; Brandasia Cofield, 5'8, guard/forward, Raymond; Diamond Rayford, 5'6, guard, Kosciusko; Jarie Brice, 5'10, guard, Durant; Reysha Hudson, 6'1, forward, Jackson; Shanbriah Rule, 5'6, guard, Tchula; Santia Robinson, 5'7, guard/forward, Crawfordville, Ark.; Lanie Potter, 6'2, forward, Yazoo City; Skyla Daniels, 6'2, forward, Water Valley; and Jamey McDaniel, 5'9, guard/forward, Summit.
