Six Lady Bulldogs return for 2011-12 campaign

Six sophomores return for the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldog Soccer Team this season. Becca Chastain, forward, from Madison Central; Vanessa Gaytan, midfielder, Madison-Ridgeland Academy; Karlee Ledbetter, defender, McLaurin; Amber Sizemore, defender, Clinton; Ashley Wilson, midfielder, Pearl; and Meredith Hamilton, defender, Murrah, hope to lead the Lady Bulldogs to the playoffs in the squad's second year since returning to action on the Ridgeland Campus.

New Lady Bulldogs include: Liz Moran, defender and Cassie Wright, midfielder, both of Madison Central; Jerri Clanton, midfielder, Franklin County; Rachel Geissler, midfielder, Brandon; Erin Johnson and Megan Clark, both midfielders from Northwest Rankin; Raven Toney, defender, Penn Foster; Carrie Robinson, forward, Petal;  Kaitlyn Romei, goalkeeper, Shades Valley in Leeds, Ala.; Caitlyn Morrow, midfielder, Clinton;  Cameron Phillips, midfielder, Ridgeland; Kayla Hensarling and Daniele Rice, midfielders from Terry; and Sam Hancock, forward, Veritas.

The Lady Bulldogs begin play on Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 5 p.m. versus Hinds in Raymond.
