Lady Bulldogs pull even at .500

The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldog soccer team pulled even at .500 at 2-2 here Tuesday with a 3-0 non-division win over the Lady Wolves of Copiah-Lincoln. Holmes' Vanessa Gaytan scored all three goals in the match while Ashley Wilson and Rebecca Chastain each had an assist.

Gaytan's first goal came in the 27th minute of the first half to put the Lady Bulldogs up 1-0. She added another goal in the 19th minute while her final goal came in the 27th minute of the second half.

In the previous matches, the Lady Bulldogs defeated Northwest, 6-2, fell to Southwest, 3-2, and fell to Hinds, 2-0. Against Northwest, Gaytan scored three goals while Liz Moran, Tara Turner and Caitlyn Morrow each added a goal. Chastain and Moran scored against Southwest while Wilson added two assists.
