Lopez named NJCAA First Team All-American

RIDGELAND --- Holmes Community College freshman midfielder Brianna Lopez of Fort Smith, Ark. has been named NJCAA First Team Women's Soccer Division II All-American for her play this season for the Lady Bulldogs.

Lopez and the Lady Bulldogs captured the MACCC and NJCAA Region 23 Championships and finished as NJCAA National Champion runners-up. Holmes finished 18-2-3 on the season and stayed in the Top five the entire season and finished the season No. 3 and was the No. 1 seed in the NJCAA Tournament.

She finished the season with 47 points including 15 goals and 17 assists. She was 6-of-7 on penalty kick attempts. She had 99 shots and 56 shots on goal.
