HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs picked up a 3-1 win in pool play here tonight in the NJCAA Women's Division II National Tournament over Phoenix College.
Holmes, now 16-4-2, will play Schoolcraft at 5:45 p.m. in pool play tomorrow night.
Olivia Tribolet got the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard in the fourth minute on an assist from Christina Guzman.
The Lady Bulldogs then went up 2-0 when Kaylee Avant blasted one in from near midfield in the 8th minute.
Holmes' final goal came in the 65th minute on a goal from Stevie Kerns.
Phoenix scored in the 84th minute.
Addi Roberts played 90 minutes in goal and had six saves and gave up one goal.
