GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs led the majority of the contest here Thursday night, but the Northwest Mississippi Community College Lady Rangers outscored the Lady Bulldogs 25-13 in the fourth to pull out the 86-79 victory.
With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs fell to 0-2 on the season. The Lady Bulldogs return to action Monday at Itawamba at 5:30 p.m.
The Lady Bulldogs led 18-15 after one period and then outscored the Lady Rangers, 25-18, in the second to hold a 43-33 lead at halftime. Northwest then took the third period, 28-23, to pull the score to 66-61 before taking the fourth period by 12 points giving them the seven-point win.
Shanbriah Rule led the Lady Bulldogs with 25 points while Lanie Potter had 19, and Makayla Boyd had 12 points, all from the three-point line.
