MOORHEAD --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs had two players --- Shanbriah Rule and Santia Robinson --- score over 20 points but fell here Monday night, 78-76.
With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs fell to 0-6 on the season. Holmes hosts Northeast Mississippi Community College on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Holmes led 19-13 after one period and 41-32 at halftime after outscoring Delta, 22-19, in the second half. Delta came alive in the second half and outscored Holmes, 26-17, in the third and 20-18 in the fourth to pull out the win.
Rule led the Lady Bulldgos with 29 points including two three-pointers while Robinson had 23 points including four three-pointers in the game. Robinson led with eight rebounds.
