OPELIKA, Ala. --- The No. 4 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs opened the regular season with a 1-0 win over Southern Union State Community College Tuesday.

Holmes will play Pensacola at 2 p.m. on Friday in Ridgeland and Dallas-Brookhaven at 11 a.m. on Sunday in Ridgeland.

Mallory Sutton scored on an Anna Beth Korhonen assist in the 11th minute for the only goal of the game.

Aly Vancor got the start in goal and had two saves in 45 minutes. Lily Callum played 45 minutes and had three saves.
