WICHITA, Kan. --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs picked up a 1-0 win over Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Tuesday to advance to the 2025 NJCAA Division II Women's Soccer Tournament semifinals on Thursday. Thursday's semis will be the fifth in the last six tournaments.
Holmes improved to 17-2 overall and will play Heartland at 12:30 p.m. in the semifinals. Heartland defeated Pima to advance. Jones and Northwest will play in the other semifinal at 10 a.m.
The Lady Bulldogs scored in the 11th minute on a goal from Kaylee Avant on an assist from Mallory Sutton. Neither team was able to score the remainder of the match.
Aly Vancor got the start and went 45 minutes with three saves while Lilly Callum played the final 45 minutes and had two saves.
