Bulldogs take two games from Louisiana College JV to move to 5-5

PINEVILLE, La. --- The Holmes Community College Bulldog baseball team moved to 5-5 on the season here Monday by taking two games from Lousiana College JV, 7-3 and 8-6.

The Bulldogs scored two runs in the fifth and two runs in the sixth to take the opener 7-4. Payden Lynch picked up his second win of the year with a complete game effort. Lynch allowed three runs (one earned) on three hits while striking out two. Offensively, the Bulldogs pounded out eleven hits in the ballgame. Jordan Taylor and Chris Steverson each had three hits a piece. Jason Hursey, Tal Tucker, Josh Crowder, Payden Lynch, and Steven Blanchard each added one hit.
 
Note: The win was Head Coach, Kenny Dupont's 400th win.

The Bulldogs trailing 6-5 in the seventh scored three runs to take the nightcap and finish the sweep 8-6. Offensively, the Bulldogs had nine hits in the ballgame. Steven Blanchard led the way with three hits. Josh Crowder and Chris Steverson each added two hits. Tal Tucker and Jordan Taylor each had one hit a piece. Trey Goff picked up his first win of the year with two scoreless innings of relief. Goff allowed one hit while striking out two.
