Going into the last week of the MACJC basketball regular season, the Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs have solidified second place with one division game to play while the Bulldogs currently hold second place on the men's side with one game to play.
Current standings in the North Division on the women's side includes: Itawamba, 10-0; Holmes, 9-2; Coahoma, 4-6; East Mississippi, 4-6; Northeast, 4-7, Mississippi Delta, 3-7; and Northwest, 2-8; and on the men's side the standings include: East Mississippi, 11-0; Holmes, 7-4; Northwest, 6-4; Itawamba, 5-5; Northeast, 4-7; Coahoma, 3-7; and Mississippi Delta, 1-9.
The remaining schedule in the North Division before the MACJC State Tournament includes: Monday games, Coahoma vs. Northwest, Itawamba vs. East Mississippi and Mississippi Delta vs. Northeast; and Thursday, Holmes vs. Itawamba, East Mississippi vs. Coahoma and Northwest vs. Mississippi Delta.
Current standings in the South Division on the women's side includes: Copiah-Lincoln, 10-0; East Central, 7-3; Pearl River, 7-3; Jones County, 6-4; Gulf Coast, 5-6; Hinds, 1-11 and Southwest, 0-10; and on the men's side the standings include: Gulf Coast, 10-1; Pearl River, 7-3; Southwest, 5-5; Hinds, 5-6; Jones, 4-6; Copiah-Lincoln, 3-7; and East Central, 2-8.

The site of the MACJC State Tournament will be the winner of the North Division women's regular season, which will either be the Lady Bulldogs or the Lady Indians of Itawamba Community College. The tournament will begin on Monday, Feb. 27 and will run through March 1.
The site of the Region XXIII Tournament will be in the Golden Dome at Mississippi College and will begin on Monday, March 5 and will run through March 8. The tournament will take the top three teams from the North Division and South Division and two at-large teams.
