ELLISVILLE --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs went to 7-2 on the season here Tuesday with a 2-1 win over the Jones County Junior College Bobcats.
Jones got on the scoreboard first with a goal by Austin May on an assist from Kevin Ndongo in the first minute of the match. The Bulldogs answered the goal in the second minute on a John Torres' goal and an assist from James Cockrell.
In the second half, Michael Orcutt scored in the 46th minute on a Bryan Diaz assist to give the Bulldogs the 2-1 lead. Holmes got the final goal of the match in the 84th minute from Hunter Warren on an assist from Gabe King.
The Bulldogs host the Copiah-Lincoln Wolves on Thursday at Freedom Ridge at 3 p.m.
